9 brokers in our data list a swap-free account. Whether forex trading is halal is decided by scholars, who do not agree; this page explains what a swap-free account changes and ranks the 8 of them with a Tier 1 regulated company by their account terms, published up to 19 Oct 2026.

There is no single ruling. Scholars who discuss retail forex usually raise three points: interest on positions held overnight, the leverage a broker extends, and the fact that a CFD settles in cash without either currency changing hands. A swap-free account removes only the first. Which view applies to you is a question for a scholar you follow; we describe the accounts.
Ask the broker in writing what replaces the swap: a fixed fee per lot per night, a wider spread or a commission.
Check limits: XTB, for example, offers swap-free accounts for specific periods and products only.
Check the entity: for UK residents, the brokers here with an FCA entity and a swap-free account are Admirals (Admiral Markets), ThinkMarkets, Tickmill, Vantage and XTB.

Why this order: only brokers that list a swap-free Islamic account and run at least one Tier 1 regulated company for retail clients, sorted by our accounts score (account types offered and minimum deposit); the fees that replace swaps are not in our data and are not scored. Forex broker comparison table
What the table shows
Licence numbers as each broker publishes them (we have not yet matched them on the registers), which entity serves which country, and spreads with the date we copied them from the broker’s own pages.
How to use this table
Sort by score, spread or minimum deposit. Deposits stay in the broker’s own currency, so compare them only within one currency.

ThinkMarkets publishes Tier 1 licences from 4 regulators and lists a swap-free account (checked ). The trade-off: it publishes no EUR/USD spread in pips, so we cannot score its costs, and the swap-free fee schedule is not in our data.

What to check in a swap-free account
The account name is the same everywhere; the terms behind it are not.

What replaces the swap?
A broker still pays for the position overnight. Look for an administration fee per lot after a number of free nights, a wider spread or a commission. None of these fee schedules is in our data yet, so ask for them before you open.
Swap-free status can apply to some products only, or for a set period. XTB’s international entity states exactly that; read the list before you trade an index or a commodity.
Eligibility is in each broker’s terms: the account may need a request to support, a declaration, or residence in certain countries. Our data does not record these rules.
Exness opens retail accounts through offshore entities and not for UK or EEA residents. XM’s brand runs on a Belize entity outside the EEA; the group’s FCA licence belongs to its sister brand. For UK residents: Admirals (Admiral Markets), ThinkMarkets, Tickmill, Vantage and XTB.

What we don’t do
No bonuses or sign-up offers. No offshore leverage presented as a feature. No claim that we tested an account we have not opened. No personal investment advice.
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford the high risk of losing your money.
Low Spread Brokers does not give personal investment advice.
Scholars differ. Exchanging one currency for another on the spot, with both sides settled, is widely accepted. Retail forex is debated because of overnight interest, leverage and cash settlement without delivery. A swap-free account deals with the interest only, so follow the view of a scholar you trust.
Data collected up to 19 Oct 2026
2Is currency trading in Islam different from exchanging money?
Yes, in how it settles. Buying euros for a trip is an exchange both sides complete at once. A forex CFD is a contract on the price: no currency is delivered, and the position is usually opened with margin. That difference is the core of the debate.
Data collected up to 19 Oct 2026
3Do Islamic accounts charge hidden fees?
They charge different fees, which should be in the terms: often a fixed administration fee per lot after a grace period, or a wider spread. The fees are not hidden if you ask for the schedule in writing; our data does not hold them yet.
Data collected up to 19 Oct 2026
4Who can open a swap-free account?
Brokers set their own eligibility, and our data does not record it. 8 brokers here list the account; ask support which entity offers it to residents of your country.
Data collected up to 19 Oct 2026
5Does a swap-free account change leverage or risk?
No. Leverage caps, margin close-out and negative balance protection come from the entity’s regulator and are the same as on a standard account. Losses on a leveraged position are the same size with or without a swap.
Data collected up to 19 Oct 2026
6Are swap-free accounts available in the UK?
Brokers in our data with an FCA entity and a swap-free account: Admirals (Admiral Markets), ThinkMarkets, Tickmill, Vantage and XTB. Confirm with the broker that its UK entity, not only an overseas one, offers the account.
