Privacy policy

Low Spread Brokers has no registration, no newsletter and no Google Analytics or advertising pixels. Until you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner, the site sets no measurement cookies and does not record your visit. If you reject, nothing is recorded and only your choice is remembered.

Who is responsible

Low Spread Brokers (lowspreadbrokers.com) is run by the Low Spread Brokers team, which decides how the data described here is used. Privacy questions and requests: [email protected].

Data we collect

  • After you accept cookies, and only for visits that started from Google search: the page address, the referring address, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string and a random visitor ID. Visits from other sources are not recorded, even after you accept.
  • After you accept cookies, during a visit that started from Google search: clicks through to a broker, with the broker, the page you clicked from, your IP address, user-agent and visitor ID. This lets us count how many readers go to each broker.
  • Technical access logs kept by the web server (IP address, requested address, time and user-agent) for security and error tracing. These are written for every request, whatever you choose in the banner.
  • Email you send us: your address and the content of your message.

Visit and click records are sent from our server to our own statistics server; your browser does not contact any third-party measurement service. The statistics server does not keep your IP address in readable form: it stores the country and a one-way hash of the address.

Links to brokers do not pass the address of our page to the broker: the link carries no affiliate code and no parameter naming the page you clicked from. Brokers' websites set their own cookies under their own policies once you arrive there.

Cookies

  • choice_hb: stores only your answer to the cookie banner, accept or reject. Kept for 365 days. Necessary.
  • usr_nn: a random visitor ID used to count unique readers. Set only after you click "Accept all". Kept for 349 days. Measurement.
  • ref_ok: remembers how your current visit started (for example from Google search). Set only after you click "Accept all". Kept for 26 minutes. Measurement.

Before you answer the banner, no cookie is set and no visit or click is recorded. If you choose "Reject non-essential", the necessary cookie stores that choice and nothing else is written: no measurement cookies, no visit or click records. To change your answer later, delete this site's cookies in your browser and the banner will appear again. Search engine crawlers receive no cookies.

Why we process this data

Visit and click records, and the two measurement cookies, rely on your consent given in the cookie banner. We use them to see which pages readers find useful and which brokers they go on to visit. Server access logs are kept to keep the site running and secure. We do not sell personal data and do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Retention

Cookies expire on their own after the periods listed above, the longest being 365 days. We have not yet set a fixed deletion date for visit and click records, server logs or emails; you can ask us to delete yours at any time, as described below.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to withdraw consent, to object to its processing and to complain to a data protection authority. Because visit records are linked only to a random visitor ID, we may need that ID (from your browser's cookies) to find your records. Write to [email protected].
