Quick answer

What do these forex broker reviews tell you?

Which company of a brand would open your account, and what that company publishes: licence, leverage cap, negative balance protection, compensation scheme and loss rate. On our preliminary rating Pepperstone scores highest of the reviewed brokers (8.6/10) and eToro lowest (6.0/10).

  1. Each review shows which company serves which region, wherever the broker publishes it, and flags offshore ones.
  2. eToro and Interactive Brokers publish no EUR/USD spread in pips, so their costs are marked “not measured”.
  3. IC Markets has no UK company: its review says so in the regulation section.
  4. Research and support are not scored until we open live accounts.

Methodology v1 · preliminary scores

How we review forex brokers

Each review is a desk review of the broker’s published terms. We have not opened live accounts yet, so nothing in a review is a test result.

  1. 1Copy published termsSpreads, commission, deposits, platforms and account types from each broker’s own pages, each with its date (latest 19 Oct 2026).
  2. 2List the entitiesEvery licensed company of a brand, with the licence number the broker publishes. Matching each number on the regulator’s register is the next step.
  3. 3Score four criteriaCosts, platforms, regulation and accounts, 0–10 each, by a fixed formula. Research and support stay unscored until we test them.
  4. 4Apply this page’s ruleThe filter and sort written under the ranking heading. Ties are broken by the overall score.

FAQ

Forex broker reviews: questions

Answers use the brokers’ published terms collected up to 19 Oct 2026. Terms change: check the broker’s own page before you trade.

Ask a question

We cannot give personal investment advice.

1How do you review a forex broker?

We copy each company of the brand, its regulator, licence number, leverage cap and compensation scheme from the broker’s pages, then its published spreads, commission, minimum deposit, platforms, account types and loss rates, each with a check date. The 4 criteria scored from that data are costs, platforms, regulation and accounts, weighted 25%, 15%, 25% and 15%.

Data collected up to 19 Oct 2026

2Have you opened accounts with these brokers?

Not yet. All 9 reviews are based on terms published up to 19 Oct 2026, and the ratings are marked preliminary until we open live accounts and can score research, support, execution and withdrawals.

Data collected up to 19 Oct 2026

3Why does a review list so many companies?

Because a forex brand is a group of separately licensed companies, and the one that accepts residents of your country decides your protection. The 9 reviewed brokers list 70 companies between them, from Tier 1 regulators to offshore ones.

Data collected up to 19 Oct 2026

4Are the licence numbers verified?

All 70 licence entries are as each broker publishes them. We link the regulator’s register where the broker or the regulator provides one; matching every number on its register is still in progress, so search it yourself before you fund.

Data collected up to 19 Oct 2026

5Do brokers pay for reviews or ratings?

No. As of 20 Oct 2026 we have no affiliate or advertising agreements with brokers, and partner status is not an input to any score.

Data collected up to 19 Oct 2026

6How often are the reviews updated?

The broker data behind them was last checked on 19 Oct 2026. Each figure on a review carries its own check date, and the “What changed” list on each review records updates.
