Quick answer
Does Pepperstone have a demo account?
Yes. Pepperstone’s UK site offers a demo on TradingView, cTrader, MT4, MT5 and Pepperstone’s own platform. Sign-up, as Pepperstone describes it: email and password, then name, date of birth and mobile number; the demo is created from the dashboard’s demo tab (up to 5 demos without a live account, 10 with one) (checked 20 Oct 2026). Open the demo on the account you would fund: Razor from 0.0 pips plus GBP 2.25 per lot per side, or Standard from 1.0 pips with no commission.
- Demo expiry: the Trader and TradingView demos expire after 90 days of inactivity, the Pepperstone, MT4 and MT5 demos after 60 days (logging in or trading counts as activity); a demo can be made non-expiring with an approved, funded live account.
- Global site (pepperstone.com/en/trading/demo-account/) differs: Pepperstone/MT4/MT5 demos expire 60 days after creation, not after 60 days of inactivity.
- A demo does not simulate live risk: 73.6% of retail CFD accounts lose money at Pepperstone Limited (UK), 80% at Pepperstone Markets Limited (Bahamas) (checked 19 Oct 2026).
Which Pepperstone company runs the live account
A demo has no regulator behind it; the live account does. Licence numbers are as Pepperstone publishes them; check each on the regulator’s register.

Client money
Tier 1 regulators require client money to be held apart from the firm’s own money; an offshore company may not have that rule.
MT4 demos with published terms
Brokers that offer MT4, have a Tier 1 company and publish their demo balance and platforms, in the order of our platforms score: FxPro (up to 100,000 in virtual funds in 8 base currencies); IG (£10,000 in virtual funds, pre-set by IG); Vantage ($1,000 to $100,000, chosen by you, in USD, GBP, CAD, AUD, EUR, SGD, NZD, HKD or JPY). Vantage: Third-party reports, not verified with the regulators: Securities Commission Malaysia investor alert (2021) and a VFSC notice of intention to revoke the licence of Vantage Global Limited (24 Oct 2022). Check the VFSC and SC Malaysia sites before relying on the offshore entity.

Pepperstone demo account: our verdict
8.6/10
Pepperstone publishes all four demo terms we look for: platforms, expiry, balance and sign-up steps. The catch is expiry: the Trader and TradingView demos expire after 90 days of inactivity, the Pepperstone, MT4 and MT5 demos after 60 days (logging in or trading counts as activity); a demo can be made non-expiring with an approved, funded live account. The live account it mirrors has a Razor EUR/USD average of 0.1 pips plus commission and an FCA company for UK residents. This verdict compares published terms; we have not used the demo ourselves.
Choose it if
- you want to practise on cTrader, MT5 or TradingView before trading the same platform live: the demo covers TradingView, cTrader, MT4, MT5 and Pepperstone’s own platform
- you plan to compare Razor (raw spread plus commission) with Standard before funding
Look elsewhere if
- you want a demo that does not expire: Pepperstone’s UK terms say the Trader and TradingView demos expire after 90 days of inactivity, the Pepperstone, MT4 and MT5 demos after 60 days (logging in or trading counts as activity); a demo can be made non-expiring with an approved, funded live account
- you live in the US: Pepperstone does not accept US residents

Risk warning:
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford the high risk of losing your money.

Unlimited, in a currency you choose; top-ups at any time on cTrader and TradingView, through support on MT4, MT5 and the Pepperstone platform (checked 20 Oct 2026). Set it near the deposit you plan to fund, or the position sizes you practise will not carry over.
Broker data checked 19 Oct 2026
4Which platforms does the Pepperstone demo cover?
